A free briefing for newly elected Councillors, or existing Councillors who would like to find out more about key rural policy issues.
Format of the session
We will provide a short outline of our work, and key rural policy issues that the Members should be aware of, focusing on rural fair funding and topics such as rural affordable housing, rural transport, and the rural economy.
The session will also include a briefing from BT as part of their Digital Voice Switchover work. We are supporting them with the switchover process to ensure that Councillors are able act as community champions in their local area and have the most up to date information about the telephone switchover and implications for their communities.
