Get Involved In Better Transport Week 2026

08 Jun 2026

Next week (15–21 June) marks Better Transport Week 2026, a national celebration of the role that transport plays in connecting people and places.

Organised by Campaign for Better Transport, this year’s theme focuses on the importance of transport in bringing communities together, supporting local economies, improving access to services and opportunities, and helping people stay connected.

The week will feature a range of free events, activities and discussions taking place across the country, bringing together local authorities, transport providers, charities, businesses and community organisations.

For rural communities, transport remains a vital issue. Good transport links help people access work, education, healthcare and social opportunities, while supporting the sustainability and prosperity of rural places.

Local authorities, charities and not-for-profit organisations can also sign up as Better Transport Week partners free of charge, gaining access to promotional resources and opportunities to showcase local initiatives.
