Community Development

Our Community Development Team supports Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations and Parish and Town Councils with a wide range of issues including

Digital Equity

Our Digital Equity Team works with individuals, VCSE organisations, local authorities, the NHS, universities, funders, and businesses to reduce digital exclusion in Gloucestershire through a number of projects including

• The DAISI (Digital, Accessibility, Inclusion, Support, and Innovation) Partnership - our cross-sector partnership of over 200 organisations
• ACORN (Advancing Communities through Outreach, Resources, and Nurturing) -

our 3 year digital equity project funded by The National Lottery Community Fund

• Digital Support Drop-Ins - held regularly at over 30 locations in Gloucestershire
• Digital Device Bank – collecting, refurbishing, and redistributing used digital devices
• Digital Triage Service – a digital support and signposting service for everyone
• Digital and Tech Navigator for Tewkesbury Borough
• Digital and Tech Social Prescriber in the North Cotswolds

Health, Wellbeing, Mental Health, and Autism

Our Health and Wellbeing and Mental Health and Autism teams deliver a number of services and projects across Gloucestershire, including

• Gloucestershire Community Autism Support and Advice (CASA) – one-to-one support, drop-ins, and resources for autistic adults across Gloucestershire
• Social Prescribing Link Workers - based in GP surgeries in the North Cotswolds
• Annual Physical Health Checks - working with the NHS and GP Practices to improve the update of annual health checks for people with Serious Mental Illness
• Mental Health Navigator Gloucester City – linking the NHS with VCS and faith services

Rural Affordable Housing

Our Affordable Housing Team helps rural communities to evidence their need for more affordable housing, and create projects and partnerships to deliver it, through

• Rural Housing Enablers – our expert housing professionals work with communities, local authorities, housing associations, land trusts and others to kickstart, support and deliver new rural affordable housing projects
• Gloucestershire Rural Housing Partnership (GRHP) - GRCC coordinates this partnership of local authorities and housing associations working to create more rural affordable housing in the county
• Housing Needs Surveys - we conduct, analyse and report on these surveys for the GRHP, parishes, and others aiming to create more rural affordable housing
• Community-Led Housing - we support community groups to start, site, fund, design, and build their own affordable housing in rural areas
