Mova is wholly owned by the UK mobile network operators (MNOs) EE, Virgin Media O2 and VodafoneThree, and is the operating brand for Digital Mobile Spectrum Limited (DMSL).

At Mova we believe in a UK where nobody is left behind by innovations in media and communications infrastructure. We support the delivery of nationally important communications infrastructure programmes, working in partnership with industry, government and regulators.

These include, the Shared Rural Network (SRN), a programme developed by the UK Government and the mobile network operators to improve rural mobile coverage across the country; and Restore TV, an independent programme created to ensure that all UK viewers continue to receive free to view tv channels.

The SRN has already made 4G mobile coverage available to more than 95% of the UK, a year ahead of its original end-of-2025 target. It continues to deliver significant improvements to coverage for rural communities and delivers long-term investment in the UK’s digital economy.

Mova provides reporting and tracking information for the MNOs, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and Ofcom. We have a leading role on all external communications and stakeholder engagement, working closely with the MNOs and their trade body, Mobile UK.

Through the Restore TV programme, Mova provides free support to viewers who experience interference to free-to-view TV services such as Freeview, BT, TalkTalk and YouView, as a result of mobile network upgrades.

Mova reports to a working group chaired by Ofcom, ensuring the interests of free to view TV viewers are properly served.

Mova was awarded the Inclusive Service Kitemark™ (KM820677) by the British Standards Institution (BSI). The first organisation in the UK telecoms sector to achieve the standard, reinforcing our promise to deliver accessible and inclusive services for all.
