RSN Members Honoured At MJ Awards

Several Rural Services Network member authorities have been recognised at this year’s MJ Achievement Awards 2026, celebrating excellence and innovation across local government.

The awards recognise councils, teams and individuals delivering outstanding public services and improving outcomes for their communities.

Congratulations to our members who received national recognition:

  • North Lincolnshire Council was named Local Authority of the Year, with judges praising its focus on delivering outcomes for residents, values-driven leadership and commitment to supporting local communities.
  • East Riding of Yorkshire Council won AI Innovation in Local Government.
  • Cumberland Council (pictured) received the award for Innovation in Children’s and Adults’ Services, recognising its work with care experienced young people and its co-produced Enrichment Fund.
  • Rutland County Council was recognised as the Local Government Finance Team of the Year.
  • Chloe Kelly of Staffordshire County Council was named Rising Star, celebrating emerging leadership within local government.
