The Government has announced £6 million for the Coastal Communities Fund to encourage growth and create jobs in British coastal regions.
16 projects have been selected for immediate funding, a decision that is estimated to create 1,100 jobs. The projects are wide-ranging and have been selected from around the country: from water sports in West Sussex, to archives in Ipswich, cycling in Deal, and improving disabled visitor experiences in and around Blackpool and Lancashire.
