The Rural Services Network (RSN) continues to express deep concern over the significant disparities highlighted in the latest local government finance settlement. The funding allocations continue to disadvantage rural communities, where residents already face higher costs and reduced services compared to their urban counterparts.
The Government has been consulting on the Modern Industrial Strategy, Invest 2035, with growth of the economy as the number one mission of the Labour Government. The strategy is a 10 year plan that aims to deliver the certainty and stability businesses need to invest in the high growth sectors.
Last week, the Rural Services Network (RSN) brought together 52 rural housing and planning experts to help shape our formal response to the Government’s consultation on proposed reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF)
