The Centre for Homelessness Impact (CHI) and the Rural Homelessness Counts Coalition, chaired by English Rural, have partnered to create a collection of free, non-stigmatising images of people who are experiencing homelessness in rural areas to help challenge negative stereotypes.

New Towns Taskforce to Recommend Sites for Economic Growth and Housing by Next Year

Recently, The Deputy Prime Minister addressed the first meeting of the New Towns Taskforce, asking them to identify and recommend locations for new towns within the next year. Building on the appointments of Sir Michael Lyons as Chair and Dame Kate Barker as Deputy Chair in July, the government has appointed an additional 8 members with a wealth of expertise to drive forward the government’s ambition to deliver the next generation of new towns.

New Homes Accelerator Programme Aims to Unblock Housing Delays

The Government has introduced the New Homes Accelerator programme to address delays in the construction of new homes across England. The initiative, announced by Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner, is designed to speed up the delivery of large-scale housing projects that have been stalled in the planning process, with an aim to help deliver up to 300,000 new homes on 200 identified sites.
