The Government published the long-awaited Levelling Up White Paper (WP) on 2nd February, 2022. Although issued by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) it is a whole of Government document
Published on 1 December the Government’s People at the Heart of Care: adult social care reform white paper is a policy paper which sets out a 10-year vision for adult social care and provides information on funded proposals that will be implemented over the next 3 years.
In October 2021 the Government published its Net Zero Strategy, setting out (by sector) the policies and measures intended to keep the UK on its pathway to net zero by 2050. It outlines policies and measures for the period up to 2035. Sitting underneath it are other sectoral strategies which have been or will be published e.g. Heat & Buildings Strategy and Transport Decarbonisation Plan.
Published on 19th October, the Governments Heat and Buildings Strategy sets out its plan to significantly cut carbon emissions from the UK’s 30 million homes and workplaces in a simple, low-cost and green way whilst ensuring this remains affordable and fair for households across the country. The RSN has examined the strategy through a Rural Lens, this is a series of work published by the RSN, where we have reviewed Government strategies and plans from a rural perspective, highlighting your attention to key parts that may affect your rural communities and service delivery.
